Aim of the project was to design and build the prototype of an RC car powered by a Stirling engine.
The main challenge was to employ the low power of the engine (below 4 W) to generate a stable motion. To achieve this objective weight and friction were minimized.
The aim was pursued by designing a lightweight PLA frame, using ball bearing for all the four wheels and designing a double-belt transmission.

The design and prototype were developed in a team for the course "Machine Design Project" at Aalto University.
